EMU
With its strong Italian roots, over its 70 years of history, EMU has developed an international awareness and interest that make its outside furniture collections suitable for every situation, in both the business and the private sector, in settings with different styles, from Northern Europe to Australia, from European Mediterranean countries to North America, from South America to Asian countries.
THE ITALIAN CULTURE OF OPEN-AIR LIVING
The country is present throughout the world, enjoying growing success, thanks to the comfort and elegance of its products, with their strong design, expressed in harmony with the recognisable shapes and identity of its collections made in steel and aluminium, combined with innovative technological materials.
Some of the most famous international designers such as Arik Levy, Christophe Pillet, Paola Navone, Patricia Urquiola, Jean Marie Massaud, Stefan Diez, Jean Nouvel, Samuel Wilkinson, the Chiaramonte/Marin design studio, Florent Coirier, Sebastian Herkner, Patrick Norguet and lately Emanuel Gargano with Anton Cristell, Meneghello/Paolelli Associati and the Angeletti and Ruzza studio, work with Emu on the creation of its collections, with a constant exchange of experience and ideas to best interpret and anticipate style trends, contributing to their distribution and consolidating their position on the market.
Mastery of the most advanced technologies in the production process, the keen attention to detail and the quality of manufacturing and the products, and the ability to develop new manufacturing techniques creating solutions that enhance the continuity and purity of lines and shapes, are all hallmarks of every EMU product. All phases of production are controlled and managed by EMU, either in its Marsciano plant, in the heart of Umbria, or by overseeing all phases of processing in ancillary companies belonging to an integrated network following the most up-to-date models for the organisation of production. EMU products are subjected to European and North American certification procedures to guarantee their safety and environmental soundness.

OUR ALL-ITALIAN QUALITY
Expect the highest quality, seek detailed perfection and keep an innovative mentality: these have always been EMU’s guidelines. Our company designs, implements and controls all the production phases in our Marsciano plant in the heart of Umbria and closely monitors all the processing steps on our various suppliers’ premises. We work together in a close-knit network according to the latest models of production organisation. Strict monitoring, from tests during the product design stages and work on cataphoresis and painting processes, to the approval of the end product. The unquestionable quality of our products is the result of a perfect blend between technology and human resources, a truly priceless heritage founded on the passion and knowledge of our people. This knowledge, together with our company’s historic know-how of working with metal, guarantees a long product life cycle and maximum all-weather resistance. This is how the timeless, iconic, ever present designs are created for our gardens. EMU welcomes us in the open-air with authentic, Made in Italy comfort, so we can relax and get together with our friends and family to share the art of enjoying the garden Italian style.
ITALIAN GREEN HEART OF SUSTAINABILITY
We began and have grown surrounded by nature and our concern and love for the environment is in our DNA. We have always cared for our area: Umbria, Italy’s Green Heart. Our love for our land and devotion to our company are values we have handed down from generation to generation, from father to son from the very beginning. This natural comradeship has enabled us to preserve and perfect our craft. We manufacture tough products in time-honoured styles, which are the essence to guarantee sustainability. This is why EMU focuses on the entire product life cycle within the environment, ranging from using 100% recyclable and non-combustible materials, such as steel and aluminium, to recycling and minimising waste. Those collections containing wooden parts are made of 100% FSC teak, coming from responsibly managed forests, according to rigourous environmental, social and economic standars. EMU guarantees the environmental compatibility of our entire product range by implementing all processes in our own plants. Our company is also committed to constantly reducing its use of plastics by using smaller, recyclable cardboard packaginag. EMU is developing, by 2023, a 1 megawatt photovoltaic system, with the aim of powering the company with Green energy.
